I have brought a Publicist/Marketing Agent and Business Manager on-board to get this thing to where it needs to be. It's getting too big for me now!!!
Big plans are in the works for the site and the promotion of the book and projects spawning from it. We're working on the changes now and plan to roll them out shortly. Keep coming back...
I think you'll be pleased and surprised at what we have in store. The ideas from the people I've brought on are WAY out of the box and I love their concepts. Their ideas blew my mind. I can't wait to announce our plans!!!
I did the Courier-Post interview several weeks ago, so you can look for it in about a week or so. I'll update the site with the exact date of the article and post the link afterward for those who do not get that newspaper.
MORE LIKE BROTHERS

Things to look for in the first quarter of 2010:
- The Courier-Post interview.
- Updates from LA on the screenplay.
- An all out media blitz now that I have an incredible Marketing person on-board.
- More info and pictures of the "Goodfellas" of Camden who played a role in this story.
- More pictures for the "Famiglia" page.
- Book get-togethers and signings.
- E-book applications.
- iPhone apps.
- Obtaining an ISBN (bar code ID) to enable sales in major book stores like Barnes & Noble, Borders, Amazon, etc.
George Anastasia is a writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer, hosts a weekly radio show, and has authored many Mob books including The Goodfella Tapes, Blood and Honor, Mob Father, Mob Files, The Last Gangster.
George's comment is an amazing endorsement for the book & site and I'm very humbled and grateful.
I decided to post it on this page for all to read:
"This book shines a light on a time and a place that played pivotal roles in the development of what is now the Philadelphia - South Jersey mob. Long before Angelo Bruno and Nicky Scarfo gave the "family" an identify, Camden, New Jersey and the goodfellas who lived and worked there defined the local branch of the American Mafia. Good luck Ray. You have a wonderful story about a family within a family and the true meaning of honor and loyalty."
Thank you George!!!
Feel free to join George along with the other great comments and yours will be posted immediately.
Thanks to those who have already commented. It's great to see the postings. I loved the one from Italy! Check them out and feel free to post your own comment with your thoughts on the site and/or book everyone to read!
They're ALL great!!! Thanks and keep 'em coming...

Also, I'm planning to do some book sales/signings at some local establishments in the very near future. I can't name them at this point as the deals are not confirmed as yet. Again, the site will be updated at the proper time.
I'm really leaning toward the ebook idea and planning to have an iPhone app for downloads for the iPhone.
Again and most importantly, thank you for all of the kind comments I've received via the Contact Us page. Everyone has their own little slant on the look and "feel" of the site as well as the book. Very interesting stuff.
Much appreciated!!!
Final update; My next TWO books (just obtained THE SOURCE for the next book) are now in the research stages and may come out at the same time. I'm not ready to divulge what the books are about just yet. I need to keep that under wraps for now.
In true form they will be like nothing you have ever read or probably even heard of previously.

About the book
Countless books have been written about the New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia mobs. This story takes place across the river from Philadelphia with a whole different cast of real characters in Camden, NJ. Very few people realize that the Little Italy section of Camden was a hotbed for Organized Crime during the twenties and thirties, linked to Philadelphia and New York. This book gives a unique perspective into how two cousins get caught up in this Organization and captures their meteoric rise through the ranks.
Although the book involves the Mafia, the reader is transported from Italy of the late nineteenth century and follows the lead character’s family, as they become law-abiding first generation Americans. It’s a story with many sub-plots including family love and traditions, Machiavellian intrigue, betrayal, greed, and revenge, providing the reader with a real sense between good and evil. What’s more, it’s a true story.
Historically speaking, the book is dead accurate, thanks to mountains of historical documents and many of the people who lent their knowledge and help.
Some have since passed as the book took eight years from conception to completion. Very little creative license was taken by me, even with respect to dialog. It is truly a unique story, unlike any of the typical HBO mob series’, books, or movies. This is the real thing; period.
MORE LIKE BROTHERS is a refreshingly new tale in the classification of True Crime and accurate to the most minute detail. This is the most intimate a reader can get into nineteen-thirties New Jersey La Cosa Nostra with the characters who ruled the area's underworld. No other work covers this era and location. None.
The bosses and their minions will most likely be new to most readers, but I can assure you they are very real and had a different presence than those you may have read about in other novels. Most were ruthless, ruling with an iron hand and compassion for no one. Some were more cerebral and cunning, but almost all protected their neighborhood and helped their fellow Italians whenever needed. I think there was more of an adherence to "The Code" in those days and these men knew how to work it to their advantage.
This is a must-read, not only for mafia enthusiasts, but for everyone. The essence of the story is universal, so one certainly does not have to be Italian to relate to the trials and tribulations of the characters from this time period.
Check back every once in a while. I'll be changing the site from time to time with updates on the a book release date as well as more pages, information and photos.
