Well, it's got to be done. As all good Italian-Americans debate over Gravy vs. Sauce, as do we at Lombard Writing.

Our research for the book will allow us to settle the debate... maybe. We say maybe, because no matter what is said on this site, you're going to call it what you want anyway.

Gravy is an Italian American thing, having been derived from the first and second generation born in America of Italian descent.

The literal translation of the word sauce in Italian is salsa. Our Italian cousins over on the other side, (that would be in Italy, for all of you non-Italians) overwhelmingly call it sauce. As do we at Lombard Writing.

Sorry gang. Sauce it is.

Bottom line; call it what you want, it's still great either way!
